Micron Technology, Inc. Intern - Category Supplier Manager for Construction and Facilities Capital in Boise, Idaho

As a Category Supplier Management Intern for Construction and Facilities Capital, you will be learning about developing a category strategy for managed categories, validating strategies with Global and Regional Category Managers/s and the respective internal partners and stakeholders. You will be assisting with strategic sourcing initiatives, plan and execute negotiations using supplier and industry analysis, benchmark and cost management.

Key Responsibilities:

Cost Management & Analysis

  • Assist in identifying and driving evaluating category-specific savings

  • Assisting collecting market intelligence and category price trends to relevant internal stakeholders.

  • Apply should-cost models for assigned categories that are benchmarked and relevant to the global marketplace.

Category Management & Strategic Sourcing

  • Support in implementing processes to monitor stakeholder satisfaction with key suppliers.

  • Assist in RFP activities (issue RFP, negotiation planning, cost and terms negotiations and award recommendation) for category.

  • Collaborate in supplier performance evaluation and KPIs (Key Performance Metrics)

Business Partnering

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver strategic projects.

  • Support a customer-centric approach to solving issues and representing Procurement and escalate if necessary.
