Micron Legal Internship

Micron Technology, Inc., a Fortune 150 semiconductor technology company, is seeking a highly motivated student for a paid Legal Internship during summer semester 2025. Legal Interns for Micron experience a side of the law that few law students experience -- the in-house perspective. The goal of this internship is to expose the student to the wide-ranging legal activities of a multinational corporation. The student will not only explore how legal services are delivered today but will contribute to how they will be delivered in the future.

Responsibilities and Tasks

The job objectives of a Micron Legal Intern will include projects that integrate in-house legal practice with technology. Under the mentorship of designated attorneys, the student will have the opportunity to work with lawyers and other professionals globally. The intern will work an average of 40 hours per week with availability to participate in meetings that may occasionally take place during evening or early morning hours to accommodate Micron’s globally-distributed team members. The Legal Intern will be located at Micron’s headquarters in Boise, Idaho. Boise is a delightful, beautiful, rapidly growing town located at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, with plenty of access not only to shops, restaurants, and entertainment but also to outdoor activities, including hiking, biking, and river rafting.

Qualifications

The ideal Legal Intern candidate will be someone who possesses:

  • Strong communication and written skills and an ability to distill complex issues into simplified, practical solutions

  • An interest in the technology and in developing a business-focused legal approach

  • A leadership mindset and a willingness to not only attend but also contribute to meetings

  • Solid team and social skills and a desire to interact with a broad array of internal clients

  • Past or current coursework in legal innovation and technology

Education

  • We are seeking rising second- or third-year law students

  • Must be currently enrolled in law school at the time of the internship
