We are seeking a Software Development Manager to join our IT team working with Micron's Enterprise Infrastructure Security (EIS) department. You will manage the software development team within Identity and Access Management (IAM) and provide leadership assistance to secure Micron’s IP. To apply for this role, you must have experience in leading software development teams and delivering security projects. Experience in various software development lifecycle approaches and methodologies, requirements analysis, and project management is required.

You will be joining a large team of diverse skills and experience and the job requires a resourceful and highly motivated individual who is experienced in taking ownership for the leadership and development of team members and ownership of key processes and improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Focus on various software/security technologies within IT Security to protect Intellectual Property.

  • Multifaceted leader who has directly led a team of highly proficient software professionals in a fast paced work environment

  • Empower the team by applying standard processes, tools, techniques, and methodologies like Lean, Agile, DevSecOps, to optimize costs and efforts in upholding Micron's security posture.

  • Continuously report out on the roadmap execution and team performance.

  • Build high performing teams, mentor, and guide them through effective and efficient execution of organization roadmaps.

  • Working with team members and customers to ensure processes support the effective transition of projects into and through delivery phases.

  • Manage team members, including selection, goal setting, periodic reviews, career development, cross skilling and manage attrition.

  • Provide recommendations to management team to improve efficiency of organization and technology solutions.

  • Develop and nurture team of software team by motivating and mentoring and assist in hiring critical talent.

  • Effectively manage multi-functional internal and external team collaboration and communications.

  • Prioritization, planning of projects and features, customer management and tracking of external commitments

  • Supports, implements, and promotes standard configuration and change management, processes, and practices

Experience:

  • 12+ years of total experience in Information technology and/or security infrastructure

  • 5+ years of leadership role, which includes managing high performing software professionals.

  • Ability to code and develop technical architecture for software solutions including programming, scripting, database design and user interface design.

  • Ability to prioritize multiple competing tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience demonstrating strong leadership, self-motivation and accountability.

  • Experience leading sophisticated projects with multiple functions and on a global scale.

  • Solid Understanding of common development languages:

  • .Net, C#, SQL, PowerShell, Unix shell scripting

  • MVC, WebAPI development experience

  • Java Script, jQuery

  • Java/and or Python

  • Familiarity with secure software development lifecycle

  • Preferred experience in the following subject areas:

  • Identity and Access Management

  • Agile Methodology

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
