Western Aircraft Mobile A&P Aircraft Mechanic - Boise, ID in Boise, Idaho
Job Summary
The Mobile Response Team (MRT) Maintenance Technicians will be based in Boise and will require travel . These technicians will be responsible for repair and maintenance service of aircraft using test equipment and hand tools, as needed, to return aircraft to service per FAA and manufacturers specifications.
Schedule rotation is 7 days on 7 days off - Monday through Sunday
Duties & Responsibilities
Ensures proper care of customer property through all phases of work
Accurately completes required paperwork and work order details in Corridor
Continually keeps clean and organized work area including personal tool box
Meets or beats flat rates for assigned tasks
Understands and follows safety procedures, and utilizes support equipment in a safe manner to accomplish work
Qualifications & Job Requirements
Minimum three (3) years’ experience in general business aviation
Owns hand tools to complete work (list will be provided)
Requires extensive travel
Extensive experience with general aviation aircraft and ability to complete projects with no supervision required
Airframe & Powerplant certifications required
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Good problem-solving skills and ability to follow directions
Organized and detail oriented
Effective oral and written communication skills
Positive attitude, professional appearance and demeanor
Basic sheet metal skills and/or basic electrical capabilities considered a plus
Other Prerequisites
Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
Ability to obtain Airport Issued security badge
Valid Driver's License
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Work is performed in a hangar environment and requires regular fieldwork where the employee will be exposed to outdoor weather and industrial type noise conditions. Must have willingness and ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs. and 25 lbs. overhead. Daily activities include frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, and turning to pick parts from lower shelves, pulling and working at heights; Reaching overhead above the shoulders and horizontally.
