Responsibilities
Shift Monday- Friday, Full-Time Variable Shift- No Weekends. Quarterly Bonus, Affordable Benefit packages, Paid Holidays.
Prepares medications for dispensing by the pharmacist by retrieving, counting, pouring, weighing, and at time mixing medications.
Prepares IV and other complex treatments, under the supervision of a registered pharmacist, delivers medications to patient care areas after the pharmacist has checked it, and retrieves pharmacy bins from the patient care units.
Maintains sterile technique and working environment.
Makes requisitions for drugs and supplies with professional guidance from the pharmacists.
Orders, receives, and maintains inventory of drugs and chemicals, and ensures their security within the facility.
Enters data in computer system/EMR, recording all the medications, purchase orders, requisitions, and disbursements.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent is required and will be verified during the hiring process.
Registered with the State Board of Pharmacy.
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required, or must be obtained within 3 months of hire
(1) year Pharmacy related experience and/ or training or graduate of a certified training program
Previous Hospital Pharmacy experience preferred.
IV compounding experience preferred
USD $21.00/Hr. USD $28.00/Hr.
