Dispatcher
Job Description
Primary control position for all customer field deliveries and returns. Organizes daily shipping activities utilizing approved freight carriers. Gathers and reconciles all shipping documents for accuracy prior to sending documents to Accounts Receivable. Provide the Shipping Supervisor with detailed daily schedules that pertain to outbound customer loads. Work hand in hand with the field superintendents and schedule deliveries and returns. Generate Pick lists for staging.
Responsibilities
Organize daily shipping activities utilizing approved freight carriers.
Gather and reconcile all shipping documents for accuracy prior to sending documents to Accounts Receivable.
Provide the Shipping Supervisor with detailed daily schedules for outbound customer loads.
Coordinate closely with field superintendents to schedule deliveries and returns.
Generate Pick lists for staging.
Dispatch the MPP as required.
Perform data entry and provide logistics and administrative support.
Deliver excellent customer service through dispatch operations.
Essential Skills
2-3+ years of dispatch experience.
Excellent organizational and scheduling skills.
Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations.
Excellent attention to detail and diligence.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in a $30M shipping revenue per year organization.
Work Environment
Monday through Friday - 7:00am - 3:30pm.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
