Description

We are seeking a Part Time Accounting Clerk based in Boston, Massachusetts. This position is requesting onsite days of Monday and Tuesday only.

This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity in the industry of accounting.

The Accounting Clerk will be primarily engaged in accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks, utilizing various tools and systems such as AP automation, Sage 50, Echecks, and ACH.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the full cycle of accounts payable, ensuring that all transactions are accurately recorded and processed

• Assist in the management of accounts receivable, including the entry of checks into Sage 50

• Utilize AP automation tools to streamline the invoice processing workflow

• Employ software systems such as Sage 50, Echecks, and ACH for various accounting tasks

• Maintain accurate financial records and prepare reports as needed

• Coordinate with the accounting team to ensure all financial data is up to date

• Respond to customer inquiries relating to accounts payable and receivable

• Monitor customer accounts and undertake appropriate actions when necessary

• Perform data entry tasks as part of the day-to-day operations.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management

• Competence in data entry tasks

• Experience in invoice processing operations

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel for accounting tasks

• Familiarity with general accounting principles and procedures

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work

• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Demonstrated problem-solving skills

• High level of integrity and trustworthiness

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
