Job Title: Chief Engineer of Facilities
Job Description
Responsible for the overall operation of the Central Plant, including operating and maintaining heating and cooling systems (BMS system, boilers, chillers, generators, air compressors, and cooling towers). The Chief Engineer will carry out preventative and corrective maintenance in accordance with site policy and procedures.
Responsibilities
Operate and maintain heating and cooling systems such as BMS systems, boilers, chillers, generators, air compressors, and cooling towers.
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance according to site policies and procedures.
Manage and oversee vendor relationships and contracts.
Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues within the facility.
Ensure proper operation of VAV boxes, chilled beam systems, and other HVAC components.
Manage the budgeting for tools, parts, and equipment.
Maintain high levels of customer service and effective communication.
Essential Skills
5 years of experience as an assistant chief, lead, or chief engineer.
Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS), specifically Automated Logic.
Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
Vendor management experience.
Knowledge of chilled beam systems and VAV boxes.
Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and building maintenance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High level of customer service and effective communication skills.
Budgeting experience for tools, parts, and equipment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Work Environment
This role is based in a brand new 9-story building featuring 50,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space on the 1st floor, and 170,000 square feet of office space. The facility includes rooftop units (RTUs) and offers a dynamic and modern work environment.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $125000.00 - $130000.00
