Pay range:$23.29 min per hour- $25.62 max per hour ($48,450 min per year- $53,295 max per year)

Schedule: 40 hours per week (Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 4 PM)

Job Summary:Through individualized service planning, goal setting, and coordination of care, the Employment Services Case Manager provides a range of services that work to improve clients’ financial situation and general well-being, including searching for trainings and educational programs, employment, and benefits (SSDI/SSI, SNAP, MassHealth). They will also assist the rest of the Employment Services team with intake support and follow-up on connecting clients to other services.

Essential duties / responsibilities:

  • Works collaboratively with guests on caseload to assess individualized needs, develop goals and create individualized career development plans with identifiable wraparound resources to support participants’ achievement of income stability.

  • Provides guidance that helps participants identify barriers to increasing income and provides referrals to resources to address identified barriers including language, skill gaps, CORI history, gathering vital documents, and addressing job readiness.

  • Supports Job Developer in gathering training resources and connecting with other programs to create referral pipelines.

  • Helps clients apply and enroll in workforce training programs, focusing on industry specific trainings. Supports clients by gathering required documentation and assist in searching for funding for training programs if needed.

  • Offers individual assistance that focuses on mainstream benefits including but not limited to applying for SSI/SSDI, SNAP and other non-cash benefits.

  • Provides support and assistance in successfully completing the benefits application process including compiling necessary documentation and managing appeal process.

  • As needed, supports the Employment Specialists in providing coaching in effective job search techniques, including skillfully developing resumes and cover letters portraying each individual’s work experience, knowledge, skills and abilities

  • As needed, supports Intake Coordinator conducting intake interviews to educate clients on WFD services, determines which services would be the best fit, and supports clients in enrollment process

  • Works within a holistic care model, collaborating closely with other case managers, employment coaches, job readiness instructors and support staff.?

  • Keeps accurate records of work with participants in all required databases.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Adheres to agency code of conduct.

Requirements

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Proficiency in English, Spanish and/or Haitian Creole preferred

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment with compassion and professionalism.

  • Basic understanding of and commitment to taking a person-centered, recovery-oriented, and trauma-informed approach.

  • Knowledge of de-escalation techniques or crisis intervention preferred.

Education & Experiences:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required.

  • Degree in human services, counseling, or related field, preferred.

  • Experience providing direct service to people experiencing homelessness, or vulnerable populations required.

  • Experience providing case management services required.

  • SOAR certification or ability to participate in training to attain SOAR certification within 6 months of employment required.

  • Lived experience of homelessness and/or recovery a plus.
