Description
Amazon continues to invent with AI to build world-class products, services and experiences across every part of its business. We are seeking a high-judgment communications professional to join our team. As Executive and Internal Communications Manager, you’ll develop and execute communications programs for Amazon’s AGI organization; the team recently launched a new generation of state-of-the-art foundation models– Amazon Nova. In this role, you’ll support senior leaders with external media engagements, speaking opportunities, internal communications, and thought leadership.
This is your role if you feel comfortable diving deep, you are highly inquisitive, and motivated by a dynamic, fast-paced culture where we are establishing best practices and taking smart risks. You will also have a deep understanding of generative AI topics and trends, and be adept at translating complex technology concepts into broadly digestible stories.
The successful candidate will have experience working with and providing counsel to senior leaders, and will have the confidence and know-how to guide their communications activities and write high-quality, digestible content. The candidate will also have experience building programs; working across diverse businesses and teams; have a strong understanding of how to leverage earned, owned, paid and social media to scale impact; and have experience working to high standards. Being flexible in managing ambiguity as priorities change, and comfortable balancing strategic thinking with detailed execution will be essential.
Key job responsibilities
• Experience developing executive level content and communications in a variety of formats (e.g., media interviews, press releases/blogs, internal communications, presentations, etc.)
• Exceptional copywriting and editing skills, with the ability to articulate a clear point of view in clear, concise communications.
• Ability to earn trust, provide expert counsel, and effectively communicate with a wide range of internal stakeholders.
• Experience managing complex, fast-moving communications programs, with an ability to look around corners for risk.
• Experience leading communications for senior executives.
About the team
This role is part of the cross-company AI Communications team within Amazon’s Communications & Corporate Responsibility (CCR) team.
Basic Qualifications
7+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience
Bachelor's degree
Preferred Qualifications
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Creative and entrepreneurial thinking.
Positive, can-do attitude.
Solid judgment, particularly in narrow time frames.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $114,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $188,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
