Oracle Program Manager 3-ProdDev in Boston, Massachusetts

Job Description

This TPM drives upstream activities to ensure that projects do not run into downstream issue. This team will specifically look at key process inputs, audit them, and ensure that process prerequisites are met so that downstream blockers do not manifest during the build process. This team will also focus on corrective actions and improvements necessary to improve out process and learn from each project.

Responsibilities

The TPM manages prerequires to ensure successful build implementation for specific data center projects involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused delivering new capacity. The TPM must have strong influencing skills and a tenacious drive to gather and validate information. To succeed, the TPM must organize details required for process success and ensure quality inputs.

The key outputs managed by the TPM are inputs to the Build phase. While the TPM owns the validation of perquisites, and ensuring they're supplied, they do not own the actual process. Most activities are performed through partner teams and/or vendors. The TPM must manage these partners to ensure handoff and inputs. The TPM must understand the process and ensure the quality of the inputs / outputs they manage.

The TPM's work is done through collaboration with Build Engineers, Order Management, Design Enginering and End-to-End Program Managers. Working with these teams, the TPM gathers and validates data that indicates completion and progress for critical builds. The TPM validates completion of design work and handovers to downstream process to ensure progress. This TPM is critical to ensuring seamless handovers from one portion of the process to the next.

Preferred Skills:

Strong track record of managing complex technical projects and programs - data center build experience is a plus

Understanding of cloud computing infrastructure and the key components that deliver that capacity

An understanding of process improvement and the ability to define inputs and outputs of key process steps

The ability make fast decisions, evaluate tradeoffs and recommend options to leadership

Able to give and receive feedback in the spirit of continuous improvement

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $78,000 to $158,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
