Cummins Inc. Service Administrator in Boston, Massachusetts
DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Service Advisor for our Distribution business in Boston, MA.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Serve as the primary point of contact with customers by phone, email, and face-to-face interactions at the branch, developing positive relationships with key customers.
Identify customer’s needs, gather pertinent information, provide quotes, develop claims, prepares repair plans and provide status updates to customers on repair work.
Review/create work orders to ensure accuracy for invoicing and warranty.
Other administrative task on a need-by-need basis.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Education, Licenses, Certifications
High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience
Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.
QUALIFICATIONS
The regular schedule for this position will be 8:00 am to 4:30pm Mon-Fri. This schedule is subject to change based on business needs. May be required to work second shift if needed
Communicate with customers to understand their units problems and needs.
Write repair orders, describing the unit’s condition and the repairs or services required.
Estimate costs and time required for repair or maintenance work.
Schedule appointments for unit inspections, tests, and repairs
Coordinate with service technicians to ensure timely completion of work.
Explain the work performed and the charges to the customer.
Manage and file necessary paperwork and records.

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
