The Department of Physics invites applications for a PostDoctoral Associate! This role will perform research on the CMS experiment, including work on the phase 2 level 1 trigger and data analysis related to searches for physics beyond the standard model, as well as mentor students. Who We Are
Professors Stenson and Ulmer lead a group of Postdoctoral researchers, graduate students, undergraduate students, and firmware engineers who are involved in research with the CMS experiment at CERN.
What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
You will be working on the Phase 2 level trigger, specifically the track trigger and correlator trigger.
You will also be working on Physics analyses focused on searches for physics beyond the standard model.
You will be mentoring students and working with firmware engineers.

- We take input from our group seriously and you will be expected to be leading some of the research efforts.

The salary for this position is $65,000 annually.

What We Require
Ph.D in Physics in the area of high energy particle physics or a closely related field.
What You Will Need
Skills in Processing and analysis of high energy physics data.
Ability to work and communicate well with others, including professors, other Postdocs, graduate students, undergraduate students, and engineers.
