Job Description

This position involves the movement of materials within the plant, documentation of products, use of pallet jacks and lifts, and monitoring production through computer-based systems. Responsibilities also include rail car loading and unloading, quality checks, and cross-training throughout the facility.

Responsibilities

• Movement of materials in the plant including flake, pellet, or bales

• Documentation of incoming and outgoing product on the floor

• Use of pallet jacks and lifts to move product around

• Use of computer-based systems to monitor, document, and track production

• Rail car loading and unloading as needed

• Conducting quality checks on lines, including obtaining numbers, temperature readings, and monitoring

• Utilizing mechanical abilities including hand and power tools as required

Essential Skills

• Previous forklift usage required (training provided on-site once direct)

• Material handling experience preferred in a manufacturing or industrial environment

• Understanding of product flow and shipping/receiving of finished goods

• 3+ years job tenure at one company

• Proficiency in computer usage including Excel, Word, and emails

Work Environment

This facility operates 24 hours a day, with shifts running from 8am to 8pm and 8pm to 8am. The work environment may include dusty and noisy conditions when working in the old facility, but safety sleeves and shirts are provided as needed.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00
