Summary
The Senior Commercial Loan Officer will actively pursue existing and potential clients by supporting the development of high quality customer relationships. Identifying customer needs through profiling the customer to attain appropriate services and products. Requires self-direction, tact, diplomacy and a clear, courteous and professional manner when dealing with the public and other employees. Self-starter with ability to adapt to change, work under pressure and attention to detail. This position requires great customer service skills, positive attitude and expressed enthusiasm.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Obtain loan applications, properly counsel applicants, analyze financial and related data, determine appropriate pricing and loan structure and make appropriate loan decisions according to bank policies.
- Review all credit reports, financial statements, tax returns, title insurance commitments and appraisals to ensure all documentation is complete and correct.
- Monitor and act appropriately on past due loans to insure compliance with the bank's policies and goals.
- Active in calling on existing customers, prospective customers, and various community organizations in order to professionally represent the bank and insure its continued good standing and growth in the communities we serve.
- Develop profitable relationships with new and existing customers.
- Maintain high service standards for all customers internal and external working closely with Branch President.
- Work to expand and support the banks market share consistent with First Security Bank's goals and policies.
- Actively participate in the bank's call program by contacting existing customers, prospective customers, and various community organizations, ensuring the bank's continued good standing and growth in the community.
- Various other tasks, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.
- Must comply with all company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Must complete the assigned online training courses and achieve a passing score by due date.
- Regular and predictable attendance to caccomplish job duties and provide in-person contact with customers.
About You
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or accounting.
- Minimum of ten years successful commercial lending experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, ABILITY:
- Must be willing to represent the bank in a positive manner at all times.
- Must have a basic understanding of all bank functions and operations.
- Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
- Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Must possess excellent computer system skills.
- Must be capable of positively networking outside the bank.
- Must be capable of a high volume workload while maintaining positive inter personal relations within the bank staff, existing customers, new customers, and the community in general.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise level.

Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.
Specific lifting abilities required by this job include: The employee is constantly required to stand and walk. Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.
