Role & Responsibilities:

  • Keep the bin store area clean and organised.

  • Ensure timely removal of waste and proper recycling procedures.

  • Regularly clean and tidy the smoking area, including emptying ashtrays and removing litter.

  • Perform routine litter picking throughout the site to maintain a clean and safe environment.

  • Remove cobwebs from building entrances, particularly at The New Deanery and St. Mary's Court, ensuring an appealing first impression.

  • Keep the car park free of litter and debris.

  • Apply grit to car park areas during the winter months to prevent slips and falls, in line with Health and Safety Executive (HSE) standards.

  • Use a jet-washer to clean courtyards, pavements, and other external surfaces as required.

  • Receive and store deliveries for both The New Deanery and St. Mary's Court, ensuring that items are appropriately put away.

  • Manage the maintenance of bird nests, ensuring they do not pose a hazard or disruption to daily operations.

  • Water plants, flowers, and hanging baskets to maintain healthy, vibrant greenery around the site.

  • Carry out minor painting jobs across The New Deanery and St. Mary's Court when needed.

  • Assist the maintenance team with various ad-hoc duties and projects as required, supporting general upkeep of the facilities.
