Your Role and Impact
Responsible for all Public Relations activities personally or through an agency; this includes the PR plans for products launches, trade shows, special events and corporate communications. Responsible for creating press materials including but not limited to: press releases, fact sheets, award submissions, case studies, backgrounders and executive profile/biographies. Handles all media requests for review units, interviews, product images and fact checks.
Develops and maintains strong editorial relationships with key media. Pitches media on new products, company vision and strategy direction, and executives as spokespersons. Directly manages product review program, award submissions and customer case study program. Works closely with outside PR agency in execution of all PR Plans, own PR activities at trade shows and events, product tours and conferences as required.
Plans, directs, and implements effective business development and communication strategies to promote awareness of the companies solutions and ultimately help increase the utilization of our technology solutions and services that benefit school districts and education partners we serve.
Day to Day Responsibilities
Media Relations:
- Serve as the primary media contact for the company, fielding inquiries and managing interview requests.
- Develop and execute media outreach strategies to secure positive coverage in industry publications and online media.
- Craft compelling press releases, talking points, and presentations for external audiences.
- Lead the development and execution of global PR campaigns for new product launches, ensuring consistent messaging and synchronized roll-out across all regional PR teams.
- Collaborate with product and vertical marketing teams to create clear and concise PR messaging for product launches and company initiatives.
- Develop and manage content calendars for social media platforms, ensuring brand consistency and audience engagement.
- Work with internal and external content creators to produce engaging blog posts, articles, and other communication materials.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with key influencers and industry thought leaders.
- Lead community outreach initiatives that promote the company's positive social impact and commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR).
- Oversee and manage company sponsorships of charitable events and industry conferences.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to leverage community engagement for brand awareness and lead generation.
- Track and analyze the success of PR campaigns using relevant metrics (e.g., media mentions, social media engagement, website traffic).
- Generate regular reports for senior management, highlighting key accomplishments and areas for future optimization.
- Stay informed about the latest trends and best practices in public relations and social media marketing.
Your Profile
- BA in Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or Communications.
- Minimum 4 year experience in Public Relations, including media relations, press releases, press tours and managing PR agencies.
- Proven PR experience in a high-technology company, focusing on story placement, product launches, press tours etc.
- Demonstrated ability to handle several high level projects at once and be able to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- A ility to formulate and motivate effective teams as well as interact and communicate effectively with all levels of employees and Management.
- Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills; proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access.
- Knowledge of the high-tech press and reseller community a plus.

Work Environment and Requirements
- Travel: 20% travel: on the road attending events, tradeshows, customer meetings, speaking engagements.
- Office Presence: Hybrid: 3 days in office, 2 days local offsite
- Environment: Normal office conditions.
- Physical Effort: Work requires infrequent physical demands
