Systems Engineer – Consumables
Onsite: Brea, California
Hourly Pay: $50 – $55/hr W2 (DOE)
Kelly Engineering is seeking a highly motivated candidate to join our clients Product Development team. This position will be responsible for consumables product technology and engineering from concept to production release.
This project is expected to be for a minimum of one-year. It requires being onsite at our client’s facility five days a week. A Systems Engineering approach is essential as these consumables are the key interface between the physics of our client’s technology and their customers’ biological assays. Qualified candidate must have hands-on laboratory experience, be able to analyze data, execute tasks on-time, and be able to present results to a multi-disciplinary team.
Required Technical Skills and Experience
Experience working with laboratory instrumentation.
Experience with interpreted computing language (Matlab, R, Python, etc. LLM assistance available).
Experience with laboratory liquid handling and automation equipment (fluorometry experience is a plus).
Experience with biological laboratory methods such as PCR, qPCR, or gene sequencing highly preferred.
Experience designing and troubleshooting experiments.
Experience with statistical analysis of experimental results.
Experience writing test plans and reports.
Experience in medical devices, medical diagnostics, or life sciences industries.
Experience with root cause analysis.
Required Educational Credentials
BS degree in Mechanical/Chemical/Materials/Biomedical Engineering or Physics/Materials/Chemistry/Biochemistry Science with 3+ years of industry experience -OR-
MS degree in Mechanical/Chemical/Materials/Biomedical Engineering or Physics/Materials/Chemistry/Biochemistry Science with 0+ years of industry experience
