NW Power & Air HVAC Technician in bremerton, Washington

We have an immediate opening for experienced HVAC Technician to join our growing team in the West Puget Sound area (Bremerton). While NW Power & Air is an authorized dealer for a couple of the best brands in the market, we also enjoy a strong partnership with several major retailers in the area and as their partner we are the only company authorized to sell, service, and install HVAC units to their members/customers.  Position Responsibilities Include:  * Maintains professional and technical knowledge and proficiency in refrigeration and HVAC system as well as EPA Certification.  * Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting maintenance actions; noting system or equipment irregularities requiring continued monitoring. * Maintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations while maintaining the customers home free of damage and debris.

  • Maintains HVAC maintenance parts and equipment inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed parts and equipment; working with the office to place and expedite orders for parts and equipment; verifying receipt of parts and equipment.
  • Keeps equipment & systems functioning properly by completing preventive maintenance schedules; restoring and repairing faulty or inoperative HVAC systems, and associated equipment. Recommending changes and new HVAC installations scheduled by office staff and, follow up on work results of heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems (Furnaces, Air Conditioners, Heat Pumps) as well as ductless or other equipment as needed.
  • Complies with local, state, and federal codes and standards by directing and monitoring the work of staff/installation helper; inspecting the HVAC systems and equipment.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Previous HVAC experience with proficiency in refrigeration and HVAC systems required.
  • Effective communication with customer-facing residential service role, involving meeting customers in their homes and completing necessary work as scheduled or as needed.
  • Experience in equipment repair/service/install.
  • Ability to lift 75lbs. with assistance.
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screening.
  • Must have VALID DRIVERS LICENSE and be insurable
