Hiring Structural Welders in Bremerton, WA!

Pay: $32-35/hour

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for welding and fabricating metal components used in the construction and repair of ships. This role requires a high level of precision, attention to detail, and adherence to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding, to join metal components according to blueprints and specifications.

• Cut, shape, and assemble metal parts using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.

• Inspect welded joints and structures to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.

• Maintain and repair welding equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition.

• Follow all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices.

• Work closely with other trades, such as pipefitters, electricians, and shipfitters, to ensure seamless project execution.

• Keep accurate records of work performed, including materials used, time spent, and any issues encountered.

Essential Skills:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a welder, preferably in a shipyard or marine environment.

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a welding apprenticeship program is preferred.

• Proficiency in various welding techniques and the ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.

Top Skills - Must Haves:

• Shipyard experience

• Welding (MIG, TIG, Stick)

• Dual shield welding

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• DBIDS/Green badge needed.

• Experience in ship repair and marine repair is a plus.

• Ability to work with blueprints and stick welding.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $35.00
