It includes a 473-bed community teaching hospital, a 76-bed inpatient psychiatric facility in Westport, a large multispecialty provider group, and special needs services for adults and children. St. Vincent’s is the first hospital in Fairfield County to be integrated into the Hartford HealthCare network and is the system’s second-largest hospital. Job Summary: The Associate Director of Corporate and Foundation Support plans and implements a comprehensive program designed to attract, retain, and increase charitable support from corporate, foundation, and institutional donors primarily at the $10,000 level and above. Reports to Director of Philanthropy, Fairfield Region. Responsibilities: * * · Develop and maintain relationships with foundations and corporations, soliciting them for gifts and grants of $10,000 and above. · Identify and establish relationships with new prospects for the purpose of increasing hospital prominence and philanthropy. · Solicit event sponsorships from regional corporations and local and national vendors. · Prepare and submit written proposals for funding to corporations and foundations ensuring timely submission and compliance with published guidelines, including required support materials. · Manage St. Vincent's Medical Center program and clinical staff to ensure that the guidelines of grants or major gifts that include measurable outcomes, are followed throughout course of grant period and meet FASB guidelines. · Ensure that all institutional donors receive regular, timely, and informative reports regarding the achievement enabled by their giving; ensure that donor-required reporting is executed on a timely basis in conformance with donor requirements. · Other duties as assigned. · Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Work Experience: · Minimum of five years professional fundraising/development or related experience required.
