Job Summary
The General Manager of Retail oversees all Chicago Stars retail operations, including Stadium Operations, Ecommerce and occasional pop-ups. This role reports directly to the Regional Director, Retail Operations - Central Division. He or she is responsible for maintaining inventory standards as it relates to receiving and distributing to both the stadium and ecommerce. Within the stadium this manager is responsible for executing the game day retail experience for Chicago Stars FC, supervising the retail associates; keeping all locations fully stocked, staffed, and operational. This manager will execute a best in class customer service for fans and staff. The GM also is responsible for purchasing the product for the entire retail operation focusing on building margins, maintaining appropriate inventory levels, and keeping the product selection up to the standards of the client.
Job Responsibilities:
Ensure that all product arriving in the warehouse is received properly including the correct quantity, size, ticketed item number, price, and barcode. Must solve issues as they arise to prevent errors leaving the warehouse.
Maintain inventory levels at stadium locations and ecommerce. Be flexible with product knowing the two channels differ in size and type of customer.
Day-to-day contact between Rank and Rally and Chicago Stars FC, working closely with the Chicago Stars FC consumer products lead to meet partnership goals.
Manage purchase of products for both Stadium and ecommerce. Collaborating with client on proper inventory levels, developing relationships with vendors, hitting proper deadlines, keeping margins at appropriate levels, and making selection unique as to set our operation apart from competitors while building the Chicago Stars FC brand.
Oversee correct use and functionality of POS retail system, Retail Cloud as well as information technology. Ability to problem solve during events is key.
Assist with training and development of new associates using Levy Core Signatures
Responsible for completing physical inventory at all locations 2 times per year.
Coordinate schedules ensuring proper coverage of operation.
Communicate with staff regarding expectations, promotions, and sales targets.
Execute closing procedures which include reporting sales and payroll following every event. Send flash report to client following each event.
Oversee ecommerce operations that include creating new products, marketing, website maintenance, customer service and pick/pack/ship.
Qualifications:
3-5 years retail operations management.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Working knowledge of Shopify preferred.
Previous experience with Retail Cloud or similar retail inventory management system
Must be flexible with schedule, able to work nights, weekends and holidays
