Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager to lead our Change Management initiatives within the Project Management Office (PMO). This role involves defining the change management strategy for key transformation initiatives and overseeing a dedicated team to ensure effective delivery. The Senior Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams, senior leaders, and stakeholders to develop and execute strategies that minimize resistance and maximize employee engagement. Additionally, this role will foster a culture of change readiness and resilience within the organization, promoting a positive and proactive approach to change. The ideal candidate will leverage strategic thinking, excellent leadership, communication skills, and coaching abilities to drive successful project outcomes. This role will serve as a thought leader and strategic partner, guiding senior leaders and the project team on how to implement change through coaching, project planning, and problem-solving.
Location: This position will be either a remote or hybrid role based on the selected candidate’s geographic location. Preference will be given to applicants who live within a commutable distance of Bridgewater, NJ, Chicago, IL, Palm Beach Gardens, FL or Long Island, NY.
Key Responsibilities:
Change Management Strategy: Develop and drive the change management strategy and plan across the different dimensions of change management (i.e., stakeholder engagement, change impact assessment, change networks, etc.) for assigned portfolio projects while ensuring alignment with project goals. Establish and track success criteria and KPIs.
Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of change management professionals; internal and external resources to ensure effective execution of change management strategies and project deliverables.
Stakeholder Engagement: Identify and engage key stakeholders, fostering strong relationships to ensure support and buy-in for change initiatives. Work with cross-functional teams to identify and assess the impact of proposed changes on employees, processes, and systems. Develop applicable stakeholder engagement plans to ensure readiness and adoption across varying groups.
Communication: Design and execute effective communication plans to keep all stakeholders informed and engaged throughout the change process.
Training and Development: Oversee the development and delivery of training and capability development programs to ensure employees are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to adapt and embrace changes.
Impact Analysis: Conduct impact analyses to understand the level of change and outline applicable mitigation actions. Assess change readiness, and identify key stakeholders to develop tailored change management plans.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address resistance and ensure smooth transitions.
Continuous Improvement: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of change initiatives, promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for process enhancements and implementing best practices in change management.
Experience and Education Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Proven experience in change management, organizational development, or a related field, with a minimum of 7 years of experience.
• Prosci Change Management Certification or equivalent.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly desirable
• Strong leadership and ability to oversee internal and external resources to deliver expected outcomes.
• Demonstrated ability to drive change and implement process improvements in a complex organizational environment.
• Strong business acumen and strategic thinking abilities, with a focus on driving business growth and profitability.
• Knowledge of change management methodologies and frameworks, such as Prosci or ADKAR.
• Experience in conducting change readiness assessments and developing mitigation strategies.
• Experience in developing communications plans and capability development programs.
• Proficient in creating and delivering effective communication materials to diverse audiences.
• Ability to analyze and interpret data to measure the effectiveness of change management initiatives.
Strong ability to effectively execute and problem solve in ambiguity.
• Must be able to travel domestically up to 15%.
