Job Purpose:

This position has primary responsibility for the administration of Dynamic Aviation’s Aviation Safety Programs for all Flight Operations Business Segments, including Management of the SMS program.

Duties:

• Responsible for maintaining and implementing the Safety Management System (SMS) program

• Responsible for general safety policies and objectives.

• Responsible for managing the Aviation Safety programs of all Pt. 135, Pt. 91 and DOD/DCMA flight operations within Dynamic Aviation.

• Responsible for representing Dynamic Aviation during audits and facilitating auditor visits and requests

• Responsible for obtaining and maintaining audit ratings and required maintenance of associated database and information

• Maintains and promotes systems to collect data and report on safety related issues

• Maintains the Company’s Mishap Response Plan

• Ensures all of the Company’s Aviation Safety programs evolve as necessary to adapt to changing environment and safety challenges

• Establishes and maintains a formal method of safety communication, monthly, quarterly and annually

• Works with other company safety personnel to ensure the total corporate safety plan meets or exceeds requirements to achieve corporate safety goals

• Flies as a crewmember in all business segments to maintain familiarity with company operations

• Other duties as assigned

Skills/Qualifications:

• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills

• Must have attended formal safety training (Military, University, FAA or NTSB)

• Must hold a FAA Commercial pilot certificate or higher, with multi engine and instrument ratings

• Must hold a second class medical or higher

• Must be capable of operating company aircraft as Pilot in Command

• Must be able to obtain DoD security clearance (preferred)

• Previous experience managing aircraft safety programs (preferred)

• Proficient with MS Office Suite (Office, Excel, Power Point)

• Previously demonstrated experience working with the FAA (preferred)

• Knowledgeable of IS-BAO, ARGUS and BARS Audit Standards, registration and inspection requirements (preferred)

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree desired, with Aviation Safety or Professional Aeronautics Discipline (preferred)
