Box Elder County has an opening for a Deputy Sheriff I with the Sheriff's Office. The Deputy Sheriff I performs technical law enforcement work in enforcing the laws and protecting the citizens of Box Elder County.

Those interested in this position must be a high school graduate or equivalent and over 21 years of age.  Must be Utah P.O.S.T. certified to apply.  Preference will be given to those with experience as a Law Enforcement Officer in Utah.  Applicants must have a valid Utah Driver License, be able to pass a Sheriff's Office Background Check and be able to pass a Drug Screen.  Applicants must have no history or record of arrests, except for minor traffic and no record of alcohol and drug use.  Presently being or becoming a resident of Box Elder County is preferred but not required.

Utah LEO Certification is required for this position.  Box Elder County does offer year for year pay for previous experience in Law Enforcement.  Take home vehicle option available.
