Box Elder County has an opening for a full-time Sign Specialist/Equipment Operator with the Road department. The Sign Specialist/Equipment Operator is responsible for and performs a variety of skilled work in the maintenance of signs and record keeping for signage utilizing ESRI mapping software.  The Sign Specialist/Equipment Operator performs a variety of skilled work in the operation and maintenance of the Durapatcher pot hole machine and in snow removal on roads throughout Box Elder County, all with due regard for personal safety of other employees and the public. Must be able to gain a working knowledge of the principles associated with the Utah MUTCD manual.  

Those interested in this position must be a high school graduate and have four or more years of experience as or in a position equivalent to a Truck Driver or closely related field. Must possess or be able to possess a valid Utah State Class A Commercial Driver's license with X endorsement.  Must have certification as a Traffic Control Supervisor and Traffic Control Technician.  Must be able to meet ongoing DOT rules for Drug and Alcohol Testing for CDL drivers.
