Express Employment is looking to Direct Hire a Crane Technician to join a growing team providing in house design, fabrication, and servicing custom, industry-leading cranes for clients local to the Kalamazoo & Battle Creek areas.

Pay based on experience, typically up to $35/hr. May have flexibility for higher based on skill & experience.

Responsibilities: ? Assemble, install, wire and commission industrial overhead cranes at customer sites across the U.S, primarily servicing Kalamazoo & Battle Creek areas. ? Perform preventative maintenance on overhead cranes. ? Inspect mechanical and electrical systems on overhead cranes. ? Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems, as well as AC and DC electrical systems. Education/Experience ? High school diploma or equivalent. ? At least 1 year of experience in a related industry. ? Ability to read blueprints and use metrological instruments such as micrometers. ? Basic organization, communication and problem-solving skills. ? Skills in one or more of the following areas are preferred: Millwright work, iron work, pipefitting, electrical meters, basic machining, basic welding and rigging.

Requirements: ? Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. ? Successful passage of a background check and drug screen. ? Ability to regularly move parts and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. ? Ability to travel up to 50%, as needed. May require infrequent commute to central location in Monroe, MI. ? Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. ? Ability to work in confined spaces, and climb to heights which may exceed 150 ft. ? Willingness to work overtime, nights and weekends as required by workload. ? Willingness to observe and comply with all safety and project rules. ? Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
