Job Summary

Design and development of boards and modules for defense and industrial electronic systems. The candidate will be integrated into the hardware design line, and will be responsible for all aspects of the design process, from concept to release for series production, including: design and drafting of the electrical diagrams of digital and cards, PCB design, prototype test and documentation writing.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Analyzing technical data or preliminary specifications that are necessary to define the Hardware architecture

  • Support to business development department.

  • Consulting with System Engineers regarding model accuracy, design, and drafting standards.

  • Design hardware architectures in order to meet input requirements comprehensive of component selection.

  • Generating multilayer high-density printed circuit board designs using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) PCB (Printed Circuit Board) layout tools, per electrical and mechanical engineering input and per IPC and/or MIL standards in accordance with company-established procedures.

  • Compiling Bills of Materials and specification according to internal standards on part numbering and configuration identification.

  • When required, monitoring and assisting the manufacturer in the assembly of prototypes, directly or through the interface of the Product Engineering Department.

  • Generation of technical design documentation such as board requirements document and detail document.

  • Generation of prototype test and validation procedures, to verify complete requirements matching on the prototypes before release for series production.

  • Testing the manufactured prototypes and analyzing the test results.

  • Preparing technical verification reports.

  • Creating documentation required to activate the Engineering Change Requests in adherence to Configuration Management and Change Control procedures.

  • Participating in discussion with Product Engineers to resolve producibility issues.

    Qualifications and Skills

    Required skills

  • Degree in Electronics Engineering

  • At least 2 years of experience as a Hardware Engineer in digital and analogue electronics

  • Knowledge of instrumentation for laboratory testing;

  • Working as part of a team whose members are responsible for different portions of the design

  • Ability to communicate through frequent meetings and thorough documentation, to keep the team fully updated and focused to the final target

  • Organized and systematic to maintain documentation in appropriate order

  • Knowledge of English Language, both in writing/reading technical documentation

    Preferred skills

  • Knowledge of manufacturing process

  • Knowledge of assembly process

  • Experience with Altium Designer

  • Hardware Design with digital components (such as microcontroller, FPGA, ADC, DAC, etc).

  • Development/simulation tools such as Orcad/Spice (or similar);

  • Knowledge of inertial sensors

  • Knowledge of principles of EMI/EMC
