MassHire GBWB Clean Energy Program Manager in Brockton, Massachusetts
Purpose: Coordinates the Clean Energy Program, funded through a Clean Energy Center Grant. General: - Work with MHGBWB staff to further develop the goals, agenda, and mission of Youth Services, incorporating a focus on clean energy careers. - Develop partnerships with employers in our service delivery area. Clean Energy Program: - Serve as convener and facilitator of on-going strategic planning, program development, partnership enhancement, and program implementation for Clean Energy Program grant. -Assist in developing program materials for students, employers and school partners including, but not limited to, career awareness brochures/flyers, surveys, written communications (letters and emails) and social media posts. - Develop a clean energy-focused employer prospect list including referrals from economic development agencies, chambers of commerce, and trade associations to continue recruiting and engaging employers in program activities. - Coordinate with employers and school partners to develop technical assistance and professional development opportunities and schedule. - Coordinate with partnering companies to conduct company tours and open houses for students, parents, and teachers/counselors. - Manage logistics of employer-based career awareness learning experiences for students including potential clean energy job shadows, speaker events and internships. - Plan and staff Connecting Activities events/convenings throughout the grant period ensuring a clean energy focus is evident. - Collect/organize information, draft grant reports and submit to supervisor quarterly and as required by funder and MHGBWB. - Other duties as assigned. Preferred Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge, Abilities: - Associate\'s degree in marketing, Business or Education or 2 years of similar work experience preferred, High School Diploma or equivalency required. - Experience in outreaching and recruiting businesses to participate in youth development programs. - Experience collaborating with school systems and/youth organizations. - Demonstrated ability to work effectively with community partners. - Strong customer service orientation. - Ability to manage multiple projects and learn quickly. - Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communications skills. - Ability to work as an individual and in a team environment. - Proficiency in computer use, specifically Microsoft Office. This is a part time grant funded position, for 25 hours weekly with a salary of \$30 hourly.
