Description
We are seeking a proactive and dedicated Clinician for our Behavioral Health Response Team (BHRT) Program. As a Clinician on the BHRT, you will play a pivotal role in delivering mental health services directly within Department of Education elementary, middle, or high school settings. You will conduct individual and group therapy sessions, provide crisis intervention, and develop treatment plans tailored to each student’s needs. Throughout the day, you will collaborate with teachers, school counselors, and parents to ensure each student’s wellbeing. You will also provide professional development workshops as needed. Between sessions, you will conduct follow-up visits, coordinate care with other providers, and document all interactions. Team meetings and supervision sessions will offer opportunities for case consultation and professional development. This position closely follows a DOE school schedule and can potentially work with multiple schools during the week.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients,
caregivers, and other service providers
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy using evidence-based practices
• Respond promptly to behavioral health crises and emergencies
• Conduct on-site assessments to determine the nature and severity of crises
• Provide immediate therapeutic interventions and support to clients
• Develop and implement crisis stabilization plans
• Coordinate care with other mental health providers, hospitals, and community
resources
• Conduct follow-up visits to ensure ongoing support and stability
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Participate in team meetings, supervision, and training sessions

Requirements
You must have:
• Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field
• Current licensure or eligibility for licensure in New York State (LMSW, LCSW, LMHC,
LMFT, etc.)
• Experience in crisis intervention and mental health services
• Strong understanding of trauma-informed care and crisis intervention techniques
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Salary Description
