Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist
Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing data entry of vendor invoices, maintaining the filing system for all accounts payable related documents, and ensuring accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end activities in the AP environment. This role also involves investigating discrepancies, charging expenses to appropriate accounts and cost centers, and responding to vendor and employee inquiries.
Responsibilities
Perform data entry of vendor invoices.
Maintain the filing system for all accounts payable related documents.
Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end activities in the AP environment.
Investigate discrepancies that vendors or purchasing agents have with obtaining payment for bills.
Charge expenses to appropriate accounts and cost centers.
Respond to vendor and employee inquiries regarding invoices, expenses, and check requests.
Assist with reconciling account transactions with the general ledger and bank statement reconciliations.
Keep up to date with regulatory requirements and best practices in accounting.
Assist the department with answering any accounts payable questions and vendor issues as needed.
Essential Skills
3 plus years of experience in accounting or accounts payable.
Experience with SAP.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Imaging software experience is a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.

Work Environment
The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, requiring the ability to function well under pressure. The role involves regular use of SAP and Microsoft Office Suite, and experience with imaging software is a plus. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $26.00/hr.
