Are you passionate about Machine Learning & Generative AI (GenAI)? Do you want to help define the future of Go to Market (GTM) at AWS for advanced GenAI & ML use cases? In this role, you will work across multiple customers catering to personas across the ML & GenAI workflow including IT Administrators for building and managing large scale platforms, Data Scientists working on the latest techniques for building and tuning GenAI/ML models, and ML Engineers implementing and managing optimized end-to-end workflows. You will engage with AWS product owners to influence product direction and help our customers tap into new markets by utilizing GenAI & Machine Learning along with AWS Services. Join the Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) SageMaker AI GTM team as a Sr. Manager of Specialist Solutions Architects!
You will work with broader AWS Field organization to ensure that they understand the value proposition of the services that you are responsible for and are able to assist our customers in maximizing the value they derive from these services. You will manage a team of talented individuals with expertise across AI technologies.
Key job responsibilities
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Manage a team of Specialist Solutions Architects for [AWS Service area or customer set]
• Interact at the CxO/VP level, as well as developers and technical architects, to develop pipeline, secure lighthouse customers, drive top-line revenue, and explore strategic partnerships.
• Develop and deploy sales motions and programs that leverage AWS Field Sales teams, as well as technology and consulting partner channels.
• Collaborate with the Service and Technical teams to create solutions that solve customer problems, including reference architectures, patterns, automation, release plan, etc.
• Collaborate with Marketing to develop and align digital marketing campaigns to drive awareness and demand.
• Technical Thought Leadership
• Hire, on-board, train, and develop new Solutions Architects from internal and external sources
• Educate customers on the value proposition of AWS, and participate in architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud
• Coach Solutions Architects in the skills needed to conduct training sessions for new and existing customers
• Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS solutions architect community
• Guide and motivate the development of whitepapers, data sheets, and other high-value customer facing guidance and best practices
• Become a trusted advisor within customer accounts to enable them to be “Cloud advocates”
• Act as a conduit and liaison between customers, service engineering teams and support

Basic Qualifications
5+ years of management of technical, enterprise customer facing resources or equivalent experience
Experience architecting/operating solutions built on any cloud service provider like Azure, AWS, GCP, OCI, etc.
7+ years of experience in end to end technical architecture, design, deployment and operations for AI/ML platforms, Generative AI applications, and AI Services.
Preferred Qualifications
2+ year experience working with technologies related to large language models including LLM architectures, model evaluation, adapters, model customization including pre-training and fine-tuning techniques.
Proficient with design, deployment, and evaluation of LLM-powered agents and tools and orchestration approaches.
Proficient with prompt engineering, function calling, agentic workflows, embedding model fine tuning and retrieval method evaluation and optimization approaches.
5+ years of experience in design/implementation/consulting for Machine Learning/AI/Deep Learning solutions - using one or more Deep Learning frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $180,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $312,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
