ESTIMATED PAY RANGE
$70,000 - $90,000, DOE
PROJECT LOCATION
Onsite - Faribault, MN
Upon project completion (TBD), transition to onsite in our Brooklyn Park, MN, office
JOB SUMMARY
As an Electrical Engineer, you will be competent in creating schematics for electrical power systems, control systems, and Printed-Circuit-Board-(PCB)-based designs; be comfortable in specifying, sourcing, and testing electrical components; have proficiency in design of electrical power systems, including familiarity with generators, distribution transformers, breakers, and other components within a distribution system; have knowledge and experience in electrical safety, including low-voltage AC systems and medium voltage systems; be comfortable with iterative planning, prototyping, and validation testing of designs; have proficiency with common laboratory equipment such as digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and data acquisition devices, and working collaboratively with suppliers and other Applied partners.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering required
Experience crafting a Bill of Materials (BOM) for a product, including cables and wiring harnesses required
Knowledge of requirements from the National Electrical Code and derivative standards and codes for grid-connected systems preferred
A minimum of one year of previous engineering experience preferred
Familiarity with renewable energy systems, including inverter and battery-based systems preferred
Proficiency with electrical design software, such as Altium, a plus
