About the Role:
We are searching for an experienced and dedicated Asset Manager Retail to join our team for our anticipated growth. The successful candidate will have a strong background in real estate investment and retail management, providing strategic guidance and oversight on our Belgian Retail real estate portfolio. You will be part of the wider EMEA Retail sector team and have dedicated retail colleagues all across Europe.
Main tasks and responsibilities
Define and execute the business plans of the assigned assets in accordance with portfolio strategy to maximise value and returns.
Extend, redevelop and reposition properties to increase value utilising best in class practices.
Oversight of external property managers and liaise, coordinate and oversee all third party service providers, such as project managers, building surveyors, planning consultants and leasing agents.
Optimize income distribution through tenant management and cost control.
Preparing financial models including development appraisals and investment cash flows.
Prepare asset performance reports to the Clients and the CBRE IM Oversight and Investment Committees.
Provide input and carefully check correctness for property valuations process.
Customer/Tenant relationship management - support wider team in developing best practices for effective customer/tenant relationships.
Provide input into the EMEA Shopping Centers platform in areas including data analytics, knowledge sharing and best practice, CRM and ESG.
Job requirements
Academic study background with preferably a real estate specialization (engineering, real estate finance, finance & investments, management in the built environment, economics etc.).
Minimum of 4 years of relevant working experience in Retail Asset Management, preferably Shopping Centres. Additional experience in Property Management would be a plus.
Strong financial knowledge: in-depth knowledge of financial asset and portfolio terms and principles. Ability to analyze complex financial reports and business plans and develop innovative solutions.
Fluency in English and French is required for this role.
Excellent social and communication skills both verbal and written, enabling the development of good relationships with clients, colleagues and service providers.
