Position Description

This role plays a key role in developing, maintaining, and optimizing processes and procedures to support our mission-driven initiatives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the development and revision of processes and procedures, providing a framework for BFA to achieve reliable and repeatable execution.
  • Lead collaboration across teams to meet process objectives, optimize processes, and streamline workflows.
  • Work across stakeholder groups to define process and procedure requirements, engaging with team members and peers to produce appropriate documentation.
  • Engage with teams to promote process optimization in processes and tools.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, promoting knowledge sharing and collaboration.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Manage, develop and train staff.
  • Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledge of business process architecture
  • Experience with developing processes, procedures, and control functions
  • Experience designing solutions collaboratively across stakeholder groups
  • Experience leading teams
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and lead working group meetings
  • Experience documenting processes and procedures, emphasizing stakeholder engagement preferred.
  • Experience defining process scope, documentation needs, and connections preferred.
  • Experience with process visualization tools such as Lucid and Vizio preferred.
  • Experience with systems engineering principles and practices preferred.

Education, Certifications, and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of post-degree experience, or comparable combined education and experience, in the above fields or a related role, preferably in a non-profit or government contracting environment.
  • Certifications such as OPEX or Project Management Professional (PMP) are a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
