Oracle EBS HCM Support Engineer in BUCHAREST, Romania

Job Description

Looking for Consultant/Support Engineer/Application analyst with background in Human Capital Management, SQL and two more technical areas out of RDBMS, PL-SQL, XML, Unix, Oracle Reports, Oracle Forms, Java, J2EE and Oracle ADF, SOA, EBS R12.2 Patching, and Web Services. Skills combination that is nice to have is: SQL, Unix, PL/SQL/Java/XML. The role is 60% in delivering technical and functional support to global enterprise customers where the difference is for projects work in creating automation, creating troubleshooting content, testing new releases, delivering trainings, and creating special internal tools. Team spirit is highly required, and we are doing periodic team events.

Responsibilities

EBS Human Capital Management Technical Support Engineer is having the following responsibilities:

  • Deliver customer service within service-level agreement for both quality and time

  • Create valuable and reusable troubleshooting content

  • Participate in Automation troubleshooting activities by providing feedback, submitting ideas, and creating scripts to depict and resolve software and data issues

  • Contribute to the knowledge management database by creating or maintaining highly qualitative knowledge articles

  • Engage in global or regional project activities for improving customer service and troubleshooting methodologies and tools

  • Be part in testing cycles when preparing to release a new software version

  • Occasionally deliver internal and external training sessions for financial software features and troubleshooting methods

  • Ability to work an adjusted work week to ensure we have coverage for our customers on weekends as per business needs. Example work week could include potentially working from Tuesday through Sat or Wednesday through Sunday.

  • Ability to participate in rotational support coverage for our customers on public holidays & weekends as per business needs.

  • Ability to work shifts outside of standard business hours

  • Prioritize work, collaborate within the team and/or globally within Support organization or with other organizations like Development, Consultancy or Product Strategy

  • Strive for excellence towards department objectives by timely execution of the customer service and related complementary activities

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge in E-business HCM Suite (Oracle Benefits, Payroll and HR) or equivalent from other software providers

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in English is mandatory

  • Functional/Technical background in assigned product area and exposure to associated systems and software. This includes usage of Application Product Interfaces (APIs), Interfaces etc. along with ability to map requirements to existing features.

  • Technical skills in any 3 of the following are desirable: RDBMS, SQL, PL-SQL, XML, Unix, Oracle Reports, Oracle Forms, Java, J2EE and Oracle ADF, SOA, EBS R12.2 Patching, and Web Services

  • Understanding of structured SQL statements helpful.

  • Ability to read and decipher software Log and Trace files, Performance Tuning, Web Server Optimization, Server configuration as well as the ability to act upon the finding to determine a problem resolution

  • Demonstrates sound judgment to expedite or facilitate the development of solutions to customer issues in a reactive or proactive mode.

  • Good understanding of different business scenarios, financial impacts, and ability to assess the criticality an issue has on the customer’s business.ess.
