What is the job about?

The Financial Controller at Grundfos ensures compliant and optimized performance reporting and statutory/tax statements. Key activities include driving cost-effective, standardized global finance processes, ensuring compliance and operational excellence, and managing accurate reporting. This role serves as the main contact for finance controlling and accounting matters, overseeing financial control for one or more entities.

This position reports directly to the Sr. Finance Manager Controlling FC Americas and will operate daily out of the Buenos Aires, Argentina facility (Garin). Relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must have authorization to work in Argentina without support.

Please note: This role is not a Leadership/Manager position. It is an individual contributor role as Specialist. The salary will fall within the specified pay range for this type of role.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Lead accurate monthly/year-end reporting according to Grundfos GAAP as well as statutory financial statements for legal entities including relationship to statutory outsourcing partner.

  • Deliver accurate and timely monthly/year-end reporting on Performance Unit and Profit Center level with adherence to all Finance and Performance Management guidelines and procedures.

  • Lead efficient and value adding external audit process with auditors

  • Challenge and support harmonization, efficiency and effectiveness of global finance controlling/accounting processes, statutory compliance processes and internal control processes

  • Owner of balance sheets including split between Segments, balance sheet reviews for all legal entities

  • Owner of cost allocations between performance units including e.g. accruals, wages, pension schemes

  • Ensure optimal control environment at legal entity level including follow-up on internal control observations from GIAS

  • Drive efficient company structure and capital structure with Tax and Treasury

  • Drive efficient performance unit / profit center structure with FBP and GFP&A

  • Be main contact to local authorities, local auditors, and local outsourcing partner

Your background

We imagine that you have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required.

  • Candidates must have a minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in a Corporate Finance role using SAP.

  • Fluent in English, ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

  • Intermediate Excel and Microsoft Suit products

  • Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and be self-sufficient.

  • Self-motivated and a self-starter continuously looking for process improvements.

  • Strong attention to detail while maintaining the broader, analytical perspective; and excellent organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple tasks under time constraints
