Our client, a leading manufacturing company, is seeking a Production Planner to join their team. As a Production Planner, you will be part of the Operations Department supporting the production team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive problem-solving mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Production Planner (temp to perm at 3 months)

Location: Blasdell, NY

Pay Range: $28.85-$33.65/hr

Shift: 7:30-4:30 M-F

What's the Job?

• Scheduling production: Create and maintain detailed production schedules based on demand forecasts, customer orders, and available capacity, adjusting as needed to accommodate changes.

• Inventory management: Monitor raw material levels, anticipate potential shortages, and work with procurement to ensure timely delivery of materials.

• Resource allocation: Assign tasks and manpower to production lines based on workload and skillsets.

• Cost control: Track production costs, identify areas for improvement, and strive to optimize resource utilization to stay within budget.

• Performance monitoring: Track production metrics like output, cycle time, and scrap rates to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.

• Proven experience in production planning or a related field.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
