Actalent Regional Safety Manager in Buffalo, New York

Description:

  • The Regional Safety Manager, is expected to oversee all our clients plants but be based in Buffalo.

  • Required to review and update written programs, audits, and accident investigations.

  • Track incident metrics and trends and apply findings.

  • Manage worker’s compensation incidents in a confidential manner that meets the needs of the employee and the company.

  • Communicate and collaborate with business partners, regulatory agencies, and employees regarding safety requirements and opportunities.

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies and standards.

  • Communicate issues, trends, regulatory updates, and training materials to employees, leadership, and direct reports.

  • Responsible for the development and performance management of direct reports

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • A degree is not required but would need to have 7+ years of construction safety experience in an industrial setting if not.

  • A bachelor's degree in safety or a related field, or equivalent experience preferred

  • Basic knowledge of compliance relating to DOT, MSHA, and other federal regulations is preferred.
