Eastern Bank Private Banking Business Development Team Leader in Burlington, Massachusetts
Oversees business development team and the achievement of deposit, loan and revenue growth for the relationship banking, specialized deposits division. Supports the Bank’s Private Banking delivery and Cross Collaboration efforts. Develops new deposits, loans, wealth and treasury services for specific target market of medium to large businesses and business professionals within Bank’s assessment area. Supports the bank’s CRA efforts and target verticals.
Leads the Relationship Banking Specialized Deposits and Corporate Treasury Team to the attainment of growth targets in deposits, loans and revenue. Acts as a team leader as well as an individual producer.
Participates in new business development activities with prospective and existing clients to increase market share and achieve growth targets in deposits, loans and revenue.
Collaborates with other business partners to enhance each relationship and deliver a private bank experience. Looks holistically at every client to bring the full capabilities of the bank to each client.
Maintains an extensive knowledge of all deposit, lending and cash management solutions to serve as a “trusted advisor” to our clients.
Refers clients and prospects to Commercial, Treasury Management, Wealth Management, and others as appropriate, for purpose of cross-selling other Bank products and services.
Coaches and mentors team toward the performance of goals and participates in performance management activities in relation to team/individual performance.
Contributes to new product development and marketing initiatives designed to increase Bank’s penetration of target clients and markets.
Participates in industry, community, and civic organizations/programs to market and promote Bank’s products and services.
Prepares monthly sales tracking/call report, including documentation of client contacts and discussions and amount of additional deposit and loan activity generated by business development activities. Reports on production of entire team.
Keeps abreast of business climate within the community and reports observations and recommendations that could impact general business decisions; seeks opportunities for Bank to improve its competitive position. Participates in strategy.

PROBLEM SOLVING & DECISION MAKING :
This employee is required to perform assigned job duties independently. This employee is accountable for the quality and quantity of work within the department and for completing follow up in a timely manner.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED.
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field preferred or equivalent combination of training and work experience.
Minimum 8+ years business banking/commercial or private banking experience as an individual producer including deposits/cash management, wealth production, and portfolio management. Specialty experience in verticals a plus.
4+ years’ experience in a team/sales leader role preferred with documented success leading a team in the attainment of corporate targets.
Regular in market site visits to prospect/client businesses required.
Basic knowledge of financial institution policies and procedures.
Must have the ability to clearly communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
Strong community ties and a proven track record of sales/business development success.
