Description

We are seeking a meticulous Staff Accountant to join our team in Burlington, NJ. In this long-term contract position, the Staff Accountant will be responsible for a variety of accounting duties ranging from payroll to financial statement analysis. This role is integral to the financial health of our operations and requires a strong understanding of accounting principles.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance

• Conduct weekly payroll operations for various entities

• Maintain and update statistical records for analysis and reporting purposes

• Assist in the preparation of auditing schedules to ensure timely and efficient audits

• Carry out bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records

• Prepare monthly general ledger journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded

• Support the Chief Financial Officer and Controller in managing overall fiscal responsibilities

• Analyze balance sheets and income statements to identify and explain variances

• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable systems efficiently

Requirements

• Must hold a minimum of 2 years' experience in a staff accountant role or similar

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable management

• Experience in conducting Bank Reconciliations

• Familiarity with General Ledger and Journal Entries

• Proven experience in Month End Close processes

• Advanced knowledge and skills in Microsoft Excel

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field would be advantageous.
