TWD Technologies Ltd. Senior QA/QC Specialist in Burlington, Ontario

Senior QA/QC Specialist

TWD is currently seeking a QA/QC Specialist to support TWD Technologies in Burlington, ON.  This position would work out of the Burlington office 2 days a week and 3 days remote. 

Job Responsibilities

Quality Control and Inspections

  • Conduct inspections of materials, equipment, and work processes to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.

  • Perform in-process and final inspections to verify that all quality requirements have been met.

  • Identify and document non-conforming materials and work, and ensure proper corrective actions are taken.

    Quality Assurance and Compliance

  • Assist in developing and implementing quality assurance procedures and protocols.

  • Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with company quality management systems and regulatory requirements.

  • Support the development of QA/QC documentation, including inspection and test plans (ITPs), quality manuals, and checklists.

    Testing and Validation

  • Oversee and coordinate testing procedures to ensure materials and systems meet performance standards.

  • Review test results and validate that they meet required specifications.

  • Ensure that all testing equipment is calibrated and maintained according to industry standards.

    Documentation and Reporting

  • Maintain detailed records of inspections, audits, and tests, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date.

  • Prepare QA/QC reports for management, outlining key findings, non-conformances, and corrective actions taken.

  • Assist in the preparation of quality documentation for project handover and client approval.

    Continuous Improvement

  • Work with project teams to identify areas for improvement in quality processes and systems.

  • Provide recommendations and support for continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and reduce defects.

  • Participate in training sessions to improve knowledge of quality standards and practices within the industry.

    Qualifications

  •   Seniority level +10 years work experience (Preferably work experience in owner operator companies - Suncor, Shell, ENI, etc.)  

  • Having QA/QC certificate or similar

    Note: depending on previous experience and familiarity with internal governing documents of other owner operators, this may not be required.

     

  • Engineering background (PENG, PE is preferable)

  • Experience of developing governing documents such as QA/QC manual, standards, procedures, check sheets.

  • Senior level of knowledge pertaining to projects QA/QC (ITP, SDR, etc.) in procurement and execution phase of projects.  

  • Senior level of knowledge pertaining to QA/QC of manufacturing process for oil and gas equipment (valves, piping components, pumps, CP system, etc.)

    Note: it is understandable if one does not have knowledge of all disciplines, but she/he should understand management system of QA/QC to apply that to all disciplines with internal/external SME support.

     

  • Experience of developing, reviewing, verifying, and implementing QC documents such as ITP, SDR (supplier document requestion, etc.)

  • Experience of developing “Approved Vendor List” for Oil and Gas equipment and material.

  • Very agile (in terms of supporting projects and management system development), team player, and result oriented.
