Job Title: Construction Laborer

$27-$35/hr

Job Description

For over 25 years, our client has been helping municipalities, landscape architects, schools, daycares, community groups, and others bring their dream outdoor spaces to life, including playgrounds and waterparks. As the largest distributor of outdoor recreational equipment in BC, they work closely with landscapers to create beautiful and functional outdoor spaces. They are currently seeking 3 skilled construction laborers to join their team, which operates primarily within the Lower Mainland. The organization has offices in Burnaby, Kelowna, Calgary, Edmonton, and Victoria, and for areas outside of the Lower Mainland, they use sub-contractors.

Responsibilities

• Work on various construction projects including retaining walls, civil works, landscaping, and hardscaping.

• Operate hand and power tools effectively.

• Build and construct fences and other landscape structures from scratch to finish.

• Represent the company well on site with a clean appearance.

• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in a timely manner.

Essential Skills

• Experience with hand and power tools.

• Proficiency in landscape and hardscape construction.

• Valid driver's license and vehicle.

• Ability to submit a criminal record check.

• Non-smoking or willingness to smoke offsite.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience leading a small crew.

• Heavy Equipment Operation (HEO) experience including skid steer, bobcat, and small excavators.

• Possession of an airbrake endorsement.

Work Environment

• Candidates should be prepared to travel, with specific mileage allowances for projects outside the Lower Mainland boundaries.

This is a long term position based out of the Greater Vancouver Area, British Columbia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.00/hr.
