Are you an experienced Accounts Payable professional seeking your next big opportunity? A well-established home improvement company is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team on a contract-to-hire basis. Key Responsibilities:

• Review, code, and process high-volume invoices with accuracy and efficiency.

• Ensure proper invoice matching to purchase orders (3-way matching) and resolve discrepancies.

• Manage vendor relationships, including responding to inquiries and reconciling statements.

• Process weekly accounts payable checks, ACH, and wire payments.

• Assist with month-end and year-end closing tasks, including account reconciliations and reporting.

• Maintain organized vendor files and ensure compliance with company policies for audit purposes.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support process improvement initiatives as needed.

Requirements

Your Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience: 2+ years of recent accounts payable experience, ideally in a fast-paced industry such as construction, home improvement, or retail.

• Skills: Strong knowledge of accounting principles and hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar).

• Excel Skills: Comfortable with intermediate Excel functions, such as pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.

• Soft Skills: Exceptional organization, strong attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple deadlines.

• Team-oriented with a customer-focused attitude and the ability to maintain professional communication with internal teams and vendors.
