Job Title: General Laborer

Job Description

We are a steel processing facility that supports the garage door industry by cutting coils of flat steel into smaller coils. We are seeking candidates to work in various areas of our facility, assisting with moving coils, tagging, inventory, and helping to keep the machines running smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Assist operators in moving coils around the facility

• Stage coils for shipment

• Tag coils and perform inventory tasks

• Move pallets and maintain machine operations

Essential Skills

• Packaging experience

• Shipping/receiving experience

• Ability to show up to work every day

• Good work ethic

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience

• Slitter experience

• Experience working in the steel industry

Work Environment

The work environment is very clean for a steel processing facility. It is heated during the winter and, while there is no air conditioning in the summer, the garage doors are opened to provide ventilation. Available is 3rd shift, which runs from 10 pm - 6 am . Training may occur on the 1st or 2nd shift, which could include some Saturdays. However, once on the 3rd shift, work will be limited to weekdays.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Butler, Indiana .

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.60 - $19.00
