JOB SUMMARY: The Production Area Supervisor will oversee a group of 2-4 Leads. The Supervisor will be responsible for developing leadership skills of their Leads and ensure that training, coaching, mentoring and overall direction from the Leads complies with safety, quality, and delivery standards. This role will report to the Production Area Manager and will work hand in hand with other department leaders to meet project deadlines.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Communicate and collaborate with other leads and managers to achieve quality, safety, and delivery goals.
Ensure all team members comply with all safety protocols.
Ensue Leads are managing the day-to-day workload of the teams to align with the production deadlines.
Review any deviation with the Leads regarding completion of following tasks:
Review production employees’ schedules to assess work hours needed to complete job assignments.
Work closely with the team leads to identify issues related to production and quality control.
Assist with multiple jobs at any given time, coordinating crews, materials, equipment.
Partner with Talent Acquisition on interview and selection process for new hires.
Partner with HRBP/HR Generalist for all promotions, transfers, disciplinary actions and terminations.
Assist Leads with approving team’s time punches, correcting any errors on a daily basis.
Ensure communication of company policies and procedures, behavioral expectations are conveyed and maintained.
Oversee the progress of the leads and track the progress of team members achievement trough tier levels within assigned discipline.
Recognize and reward team leads and individuals on the team for successes.
Administering conflict resolution and mitigate grievance complaints prior to elevating to Manager and HR.
Review Leads 90-day overview of performance of team members and then conduct annual reviews thereafter.
Ongoing performance management and delivery disciplinary actions, when necessary, with timely documentation.
REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or equivalent is desired OR any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the job duties (required)
At least 5 years of experience related to manufacturing.
At least 2 years of experience in a team lead role managing the workload and giving direction to team members resolving basic to complex issues.
Experience leading by example showing a strong commitment to the employees and company.
Experience fostering teamwork, influencing and motivating others at all levels.
Collaborate with coworkers and peers to encourage teamwork and accountability.
Exhibit consistent time management skills and adapt to quickly changing priorities.
Demonstrate clear communication with other internal teams/supervisors/management
Knowledge of jobsite safety and ability to always ensure a safe workplace.
Have reliable attendance, be respectful and responsible at work.
Ability to demonstrate basic math skills and the ability to problem solve.
Forklift Certification required in order to safely operate a forklift of varying sizes.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized environment, promoting a culture of safety and compliance.
Ability to work in both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
Ability to model leadership traits and exude confidence, resilience, integrity and teamwork and growth mindset.
Skilled at maintaining and managing team schedules and timecard punches.
Adept at developing leadership skills in others.
Able to use JTS communication systems effectively.
Skilled at managing difficult conversations.
Ensure OHSA and HSE standards are maintained.
Consistently wear and enforce donning of PPE such as protective eyewear, hearing protection, weld hoods, safety clothing etc.
Ability to work in a heavy manufacturing environment requiring the employee to stand, stoop, kneel, or crouch throughout an 8-to-10-hour day.
Strength to carry product, equipment, and tools up to 50 pounds and push or pull product up to 100 pounds .
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
