Rogers Communications Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor in our Fulfillment department to work in our National Distribution Centre during the Afternoon shift. We are looking for a talented individual to join our winning team where you will have a chance to grow and deliver world class service to our customers. Please note that the shift is working during the afternoon shift from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm MST Monday - Friday.*
What you'll be doing
Focus on excellence in execution – Supervise all Fulfillment Operations at the NDC
Execute all customer facing tasks with precision and speed
Meet individual performance (cycle time) and efficiency targets
Meet all Customer Service Metric targets
Follow all policies & procedures
Ensure a Healthy & Safe work environment is maintained
Support Warehouse Associates to meet process cycle and lead times and efficiency targets to achieve higher output by consistently focusing on improving line performance, downtime and change over times
Ensure that all products meet all company specifications; sustain and improve current quality standards, and exceed our customer expectations
Ensure the team transacts and follow all SOPs for optimal inventory levels of raw material, WIP, and finish goods to avoid inventory discrepancies
Develop and deliver effective reports, meetings. Attend all inter-department meetings to coordinate plans, complete any required safety items, cross train employees, verify QC checks on running product, verify all line checks are being performed, and complete visual observation of running product and improve inventory accuracy
Plan and execute effective line startups, ensure cleaning on all equipment is maintained, plan new product runs effectively using Lean tools and concepts
Organizing and track training and work instructions for the production team as well as create/update production SOPs
Ensure efficiency and service levels are the focus, in balance with cost and benefit parameters within the operations
Must communicate clearly with team what is expected and monitor performance and address inefficiencies through coaching and positive motivation and/or formal disciplinary action, if required.
Drive innovation and critical thinking to strategic and tactical work
Ensure all Health and Safety regulatory, training and compliance related activities are completed
What you'll bring
3 to 5 years of supervisory work experience and effective communication skills to lead, motivate, coach, mentor and resolve employee conflict
Self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, understanding and using lean tools (Green Belt Certification an asset)
3+ years warehousing, distribution center and/or logistics experience (Warehouse Certification an Asset)
College / University graduate or equivalent experience
Customer first attitude
Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as exceptional interpersonal skills
Computer literate with the ability to utilize IT tools to solve business situations
Proficiency with MS Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and e-mail
