Scope

: Reports to the Facilities Manager. Will receive instruction from the Facilities

Supervisor as directed by the Facilities Manager. Scope of duties reflect a

moderate level of ability and experience specifically related to Wilwood Facilities

requirements.

Summary

: Under the direction of the Facilities Manager and Facilities Supervisor tasks

Include routine machine maintenance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

:

• Remove aluminum chips in the machine shop as needed and feeds appropriate chips into the Pucking Machine
• Maintain machines by lubricant, grease, fluids, filters, coolant levels with percentages between 8 to 10 on lubricity scale.
• Clean machine sumps bi-annually, or as as directed by Maintenance Supervisor or Manager.
• Tumbler water changed twice a shift or more as directed by Maintenance Supervisor or Manager.
• Use portable transfer pump tank (yellow belly sump sucker) for emergency spills and waste coolant transfers.
• Cleans coolant in the machines using a portable Alfie 500 unit.
• Ensures environmental safety procedures are followed to prevent spills.
• Safeguards are monitored so waste barrels are properly labeled and sealed.
• Operates and cleans evaporator and fills with correct fluids at a neutral PH.
• Maintain the cleanliness of machinery and the areas around the machinery.
• Empty and bale cardboard, bins are located in machine shop area and warehouse.
• load completed bales onto vendor truck for recycle when needed.
• Maintain effective operational procedures to assure safe operating condition of machinery.
• Inform supervisor when chip bins are full and require pick up.
• Report any mechanical problems to Supervisor.
• Alerts management to potential safety risks.
• When needed help with special projects, like company events setting up chairs and tables and trash receptacles.

Skills and Abilities

: Ability to work with coolants, oils, cleansers etc.

• Ability to follow instructions in English.
• Familiar with the use of Hand tools -wrenches, screwdrivers, lubricity meter.
