Looking for MIG Welders!

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will work in a designated welding station, interpreting welding diagrams and fitting and welding structural steel sheets, tubes, and other materials. The position requires proficiency in MIG (GMAW) welding, grinding down welds, and operating various machines to form metal. The welder will also inspect welds to ensure they meet specifications and perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• 3+ years of MIG welding experience in vertical and horizontal positions.

• Ability to read and interpret welding diagrams.

• Accurate measurement and unit conversion skills.

• Comfortable working in confined spaces (4-5ft diameter cylinder).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in fitting, machine operating, TIG welding, tack welding, and grinding.

• Ability to operate various machines and equipment.

Work Environment

The work environment is a very large and well-organized welding shop. It can get hot inside during warm weather, but there are many fans and large bay doors open for air circulation. Our company culture is supportive, with approachable colleagues who are always willing to lend a hand. The day shift runs Monday to Thursday from 6 AM to 3 PM, and Friday from 6 AM to 12 PM. The afternoon shift runs Monday to Thursday from 3 PM to 1:30 AM. All overtime is optional.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cambridge, Ontario.

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00
