Job Description
We are seeking an experienced MIG Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be skilled in welding structural steel, aluminum, and stainless steel, with the ability to read blueprints and use tape measures. This position involves fitting and fabricating products using hand and power tools, lifting materials, and utilizing JIBB cranes. You will also have the opportunity to receive an AWSD 1.2 weld certification (6G Weld Aluminum).
Responsibilities
Perform MIG welding on structural steel, aluminum, and stainless steel ranging from 7 to 20 gauge thickness.
Read and interpret blueprints and tape measures.
Use hand and power tools to fit and fabricate products.
Lift 50-75 lbs. occasionally to place and adjust materials for welds.
Utilize JIBB cranes to move materials.
Achieve AWSD 1.2 weld certification (6G Weld Aluminum).
Essential Skills
2+ years of MIG (GMAW) welding experience on aluminum, stainless steel, and structural steel.
Proficiency in blueprint reading.
Ability to read tape measures accurately down to 16ths (8-question tape measure test).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with TIG welding (GTAW).
Experience with stick welding (SMAW).
Forklift operation experience.
Experience in job shop environments.

Work Environment
Our facility offers MIG welding openings on 1st shift (6:00am-2:30pm), 2nd shift (2:00pm-10:00pm), and 3rd shift (10:00pm-6:00am). Expect to work around 50 hours per week. Our shop floor is very clean and effective, and while the manager is easy-going and likes to have fun, a strong work ethic is expected.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr.
